FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about MR.pro®

- Any number. There are preconfigured object types. Additional object types can be created by the customer themselves or by us according to customer specifications. The system can be expanded with additional object types as required.

- Depending on complexity. Based on experience, between 1 and 6 months. The software can also be introduced step by step, starting e.g. with points testing, followed by track testing, etc. – even over annual periods.

- The software is continuously developed and adapted to the current requirements of the customer base. We try to respond dynamically and agilely to requirements, so there are no fixed long-term plans.

- MR.pro® has an internal GIS system. Various map backgrounds are available, e.g. Google, ESRI, OpenstreetMap or Geoportal Germany – ortho maps of the federal states.

- Free map and aerial image services are provided by MR.pro GIS Map as map backgrounds (e.g. Geoportal Germany – ortho maps of the federal states). Using MR.pro's own interfaces, customer-specific object layers can be imported and displayed on the various map backgrounds.

- All tablet devices (regardless of platform – Windows, iOS, Android) can be used via the browser. However, for outdoor use, we recommend specially designed outdoor devices.

- Yes. Online with 4G or 5G connections. Offline via a replica (database extract with the objects to be accessed).

- Operation on an in-house server is possible, but additional costs for setup and ongoing maintenance will be incurred.

- The WRI calculation is linked to a forecasting function that determines the renewal requirements for the coming years based on current status information in conjunction with the system load. Costs can be roughly determined using stored standard construction costs.

- The specialist department generates the orders from the existing list of defects, which can then be approved in MR.pro® by the purchasing department with the appropriate user rights. It is also possible to use an interface (subject to a fee) to transfer the orders to an ERP system (e.g. SAP) and report back.

- There is a cost recording system in which personnel, material and equipment costs can be recorded.

- Each individual point motor must be created as an object. Maintenance masks and maintenance intervals (deadline monitoring in the inspection calendar) must be created according to customer specifications, according to which the work is then to be carried out. Proofs can be viewed in the respective object history.

- Buffers and rail stops (track end stops) are recorded and evaluated in the object type Track end stops.

- The WRI (quality index) can be considered for individual components as well as the total. This means that it is not only the worst value that is taken into account.
